The classes have a broad range of ages in each class because we strongly believe in coaching each child individually on their own concept and artwork. We don’t stand at the front of the class teaching the kids how to shade a circle, we chat with the kids about THEIR ideas and how to achieve them - we look at a lot of different mediums, kids learn about scale, dimension, hierarchy, colour theory, balance and composition through a hands on approach with their teacher. We teach kids with a ‘Yes! Great idea, how do you think we could do that? Should we try…? which results in students gaining a huge amount of self esteem, building much needed resilience (art can be frustrating without this) and learn that trying things is the best way to get the most joy out of your art. We have the knowledge and experience to help them on their art journey, creating strong concept development skills because they are put in charge of their own subject matter. We just LOVE it!
